وأكد الرئيس الأمريكي جو بايدن، اليوم الأربعاء، أن اتفاق وقف إطلاق النار في قطاع غزة، جاء بمساعدة من الوسطاء الدوليين مصر وقطر.
وقال بايدن، أنه تم التوصل إلى اتفاق بمساعدة مصر وقطر، من شأنه أن يوقف القتال في غزة ويزيد من المساعدات الإنسانية التي يحتاجها المدنيون الفلسطينيون ويعيد المحتجزين إلى أسرهم بعد أكثر من 15 شهرًا.
وأضاف بايدن في المؤتمر الصحفي الخاص بالإعلان عن اتفاق الهدنة، أنه حان الوقت لإنهاء القتال في غزة وبدء العمل على بناء السلام والأمن.
واستكمل بايدن: نحن مستمرون في التواصل مع القيادة المصرية والقطرية لوقف إطلاق النار في غزة.
