وافق الاتحاد الأفريقي لكرة القدم (كاف) على طلب الاتحاد البوتسواني بتأجيل مباراة مصر وبوتسوانا لعدة ساعات، بسبب أزمة مر بها الفريق المضيف.
وكان منتخب بوتسوانا قد قدم طلبًا عاجلًا إلى “كاف” لتأجيل مباراته مع منتخب مصر، المقررة غدًا الثلاثاء في الجولة الثانية من التصفيات المؤهلة لكأس أمم أفريقيا 2025 بالمغرب.
وجاء الطلب بتغيير موعد المباراة من الساعة الرابعة عصرًا إلى التاسعة مساءً، وهو ما وافق عليه “كاف” نظرًا للظروف التي واجهها المنتخب البوتسواني.
ومن المتوقع أن يصل منتخب بوتسوانا إلى بلاده مساء اليوم قادمًا من موريتانيا بعد مواجهة صعوبات مع الراعي الخاص بهم في ترتيبات الطيران.
وقد صرح موثوسي مولوكوم، مدير منتخب بوتسوانا، سابقًا لـ«الجورنال» بأنهم طلبوا من “كاف” تأجيل المباراة لإعطاء اللاعبين فرصة للراحة بعد رحلة السفر الطويلة.
وأصدر الاتحاد البوتسواني بيانًا رسميًا يطلب فيه تأجيل اللقاء نظرًا لوصول الفريق صباح المباراة وحاجتهم للراحة بعد الرحلة الشاقة.
