تلقى الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي، اليوم، اتصالًا هاتفيًا من رئيس الوزراء الماليزي أنور إبراهيم، حيث تناول الجانبان سبل تعزيز التعاون الثنائي بين مصر وماليزيا في مختلف المجالات، خاصةً الاقتصادية والاستثمارية، بما يواكب مكانة البلدين الإقليمية ويلبي تطلعات شعبيهما.
وأوضح السفير محمد الشناوي، المتحدث الرسمي باسم رئاسة الجمهورية، أن الاتصال تطرق إلى تطورات الأوضاع في فلسطين، حيث استعرض الرئيس المصري الجهود المبذولة لتنفيذ اتفاق وقف إطلاق النار في قطاع غزة، بالتنسيق مع قطر والولايات المتحدة، إلى جانب التحركات المصرية لإيصال المساعدات الإنسانية إلى القطاع، في ظل الأزمة الإنسانية المتفاقمة هناك.
وأشاد رئيس الوزراء الماليزي بالدور المصري المحوري في دعم الشعب الفلسطيني، مؤكدًا تقدير بلاده للجهود المصرية الهادفة إلى وقف نزيف الدم واستعادة الاستقرار في المنطقة.
كما شدد الطرفان على رفض أي محاولات لتهجير الفلسطينيين، محذرين من تداعيات ذلك على القضية الفلسطينية.
وأكدا أهمية تكثيف الجهود الدولية لإقامة دولة فلسطينية مستقلة على حدود 4 يونيو 1967، وعاصمتها القدس الشرقية، باعتبار ذلك السبيل الوحيد لتحقيق سلام عادل ومستدام في المنطقة.
