وقع 145 عضوا بالكونجرس على رسالة إلى ترامب يطالبونه فيها بالتراجع عن تصريحاته بشأن بسط الولايات المتحدة سيطرتها على قطاع غزة
وقال الأعضاء بالكونجرس إن المنطقة في حاجة ماسة إلى حلول حقيقية ولا تستطيع الولايات المتحدة أن تروج للنزوح القسري كحل لهذا الصراع.
واشاروا كذلك الي ان استضافة السكان الفلسطينيين في الدول المجاورة لن تضمن أمن إسرائيل ولن تحل محل الحل السياسي الطويل الأمد.
وختم الأعضاء رسالتهم بالقول: نحثكم على العمل مع إسرائيل والشركاء الإقليميين والعالميين لدعم اتفاق وقف إطلاق النار وإعادة المحتجزين
