أعلنت شركة والت ديزني بالتبرع بملغ 15 مليون دولار، وذلك للمساعدة في الحرائق التي طالت معظم مدينة كاليفورنيا، والمساعدة في إعادة بناء المدينة.
وكشفت الشركة في بيان لها بأنه سيتم تقديم هذه الأموال إلى منظمات، مثل الصليب الأحمر الأمريكى، ومؤسسة إدارة الإطفاء فى لوس أنجلوس وبنك الطعام الإقليمى فى المدينة الأمريكية.
يُذكر أن، أكثر من ألفي مبنى، معظمها منازل، دمرت في حرائق لوس أنجلوس حتى الآن، ولا يزال نحو 130 ألف شخص تحت أوامر الإخلاء في المنطقة الحضرية، وهو رقم يستمر في التغير مع اندلاع حرائق جديدة.
كما أن الحرائق المشتعلة في جميع أنحاء كاليفورنيا تسببت في أضرار وخسائر اقتصادية، تتراوح بين 135 مليار دولار و150 مليار دولار.
