صرح تميم خلاف المتحدث الرسمي باسم وزارة الخارجية والهجرة، بأن الزيارة ستمثل فرصة مهمة للتشاور مع وزراء خارجية الدول المشاركة في الاجتماع حول سبل دفع جهود وقف إطلاق النار في قطاع غزة وإنهاء المأساة الإنسانية الراهنة في القطاع، وإعادة إحياء عملية السلام في الشرق الأوسط وتنفيذ حل الدولتين.
