أشادت وزيرة التخطيط بالعلاقات المصرية الكندية المشتركة، كما بحث الجانبان التعاون المشترك في مجال تمكين المرأة، وتمكين الشباب، كما تطرق الاجتماع إلى المبادرة الأممية Generation Unlimited والنسخة المصرية منها “شباب بلد”، وجهود حشد الدعم الدولي للمبادرة لتعزيز مهارات الشباب، والتوسع في برامج التدريب من أجل التشغيل.
ناقش الوزيران جهود تعزيز الشراكة مع القطاع الخاص، ودعم مشروعات التكيف مع التغيرات المناخية، والتعاون في مجال تكافؤ الفرص بين الجنسين، تعزيزًا للاستراتيجية الوطنية لتمكين المرأة 2030، إلى جانب البرامج المشتركة لدعم جهود تنظيم الأسرة، وتعزيز الأعمال التجارية والزراعية.
كما التقت وزيرة التخطيط أيضًا بفيرا سونجوي، رئيسة مرفق السيولة والاستدامة التابع للجنة الاقتصادية لأفريقيا بالأمم المتحدة، وتم بحث جهود المرفق لدعم التنمية في دول قارة أفريقيا.
ناقش اللقاء التحديات التي تواجهها القارة في ظل التغيرات المناخية، والتوترات الجيوسياسية، وأهمية إصلاح الهيكل المالي العالمي من أجل تيسير حصول دول القارة على التمويل من المؤسسات الدولية، وبنوك التنمية متعددة الأطراف.
