قرر السويسري كريستيان جروس، المدير الفني للفريق الأول بنادي الزمالك، منح الفرصة للبقاء لمحمد عاطف، لاعب الفريق، وعدم السماح له بالرحيل خلال فترة الانتقالات الشتوية في يناير الجاري.
وكان محمد عاطف قريبًا من مغادرة الزمالك، حيث تلقى عرضًا من نادي سموحة السكندري، وكان من المحتمل أن يرحل سواء على سبيل الإعارة أو الانتقال النهائي.
لكن جروس قرر الإبقاء على اللاعب، مؤكدًا حاجة الفريق إليه في المرحلة الحالية.
ويرى المدير الفني أن محمد عاطف يجيد اللعب على الأطراف، وهو المركز الذي يحتاج الزمالك إلى تدعيمه، ولذلك فضل جروس بقاء اللاعب وعدم رحيله.
ويستعد فريق الزمالك لمباراة المصري في الجولة الرابعة من دور المجموعات لبطولة كأس الكونفدرالية، والمقررة يوم الأحد 5 يناير الجاري، على ملعب استاد برج العرب.
