العاشر، قرر المهندس علاء عبداللاه مصطفى، رئيس جهاز تنمية مدينة العاشر من رمضان، إطلاق اسم السائق خالد محمد شوقي عبدالعال، المعروف بـ”شهيد الشهامة”، على أحد شوارع المدينة، تكريمًا لموقفه البطولي.
وأكد “عبداللاه” أن هذا القرار يأتي تكريسًا لقيم التضحية والإخلاص، ورسالة واضحة بأن البطولة قد تولد من قلب المواقف اليومية النبيلة، لا من ساحات الحرب وحدها.
وأشار إلى أن مدينة العاشر من رمضان لن تنسى أبناءها الأوفياء، مشددًا على أن اسم السائق سيبقى رمزًا خالدًا في وجدان المدينة، ودليلًا على أن من يهب روحه لإنقاذ الآخرين، يستحق الخلود في ذاكرة الوطن.
وفارق خالد محمد شوقي الحياة، متأثرًا بإصاباته أثناء محاولته إبعاد شاحنته المحملة بالوقود عن محطة تموين سيارات بعد اندلاع النيران بها، في محاولة لإنقاذ الأرواح ومنع كارثة محتملة.
