التقى د. بدر عبد العاطي، وزير الخارجية والتعاون الدولي والمصريين بالخارج، اليوم الاثنين ٧ سبتمبر، د. فؤاد حسين، نائب رئيس مجلس الوزراء وزير خارجية جمهورية العراق الشقيق، على هامش أعمال الدورة ١٦٦ لمجلس جامعة الدول العربية على المستوى الوزاري، حيث بحث الوزيران سبل تعزيز العلاقات الثنائية والتنسيق المشترك إزاء القضايا ذات الاهتمام المشترك.
وزير الخارجية يبحث مع نظيره العراقي تعزيز التعاون الثلاثي وتطورات المنطقة
أكد الوزير عبد العاطي على عمق العلاقات المصرية العراقية والحرص على الارتقاء بها وتعزيزها في مختلف المجالات، معرباً عن التطلع إلى عقد الدورة الرابعة للجنة العليا المصرية العراقية المشتركة في القاهرة، بما يسهم في دفع التعاون الاقتصادي والتجاري والاستثماري وتنفيذ المزيد من المشروعات المشتركة.
كما أكد الوزيران أهمية مواصلة دفع آلية التعاون الثلاثي بين مصر والعراق والأردن، باعتبارها إطاراً واعداً للتكامل الإقليمي والاستفادة من المقومات البشرية والاقتصادية للدول الثلاث بما يلبي تطلعات شعوبها نحو مزيد من التنمية والازدهار.
كما تناول اللقاء التطورات الإقليمية وانعكاساتها على أمن واستقرار العراق والمنطقة، حيث جدد الوزير عبد العاطي موقف مصر الثابت الداعم لوحدة العراق وسيادته وسلامة أراضيه، ورفض التدخلات الخارجية في شئونه الداخلية.
وأكد أن استقرار العراق يمثل ركناً أصيلاً للأمن القومي العربي. واتفق الوزيران على ضرورة تجنيب المنطقة المزيد من الاستقطاب والصراعات والعمل على خفض التصعيد وتغليب الحوار والحلول الدبلوماسية.
