قال الفريق أشرف سالم زاهر القائد العام للقوات المسلحة وزير الدفاع والإنتاج الحربي، خلال افتتاح مقر القيادة الاستراتيجية، إن القيادة الاستراتيجية تعد جزءا من منظومة قيادة الدولة، وأن تنمية الأوطان تتم بالسعي والعمل الدؤوب.

وأضاف الفريق أشرف سالم زاهر، أن اليوم يعلم القاصي والداني أن هذا الوطن بوسعه التحدي في ظل قيادة لا تخشى إلا الله ولا هم لها إلا الوطن ومستقبله، مضيفا: هذا الوطن عصي على أعدائه سِلم لأحبائه سند لأشقائه.
وأكد أن القوات المسلحة واصلت التحديث في إطار دورها في حماية الوطن، والدولة تشهد اليوم نهضة نوعية شاملة في بناء الإنسان وبنية الدولة.
وشدد على أن القيادة تسلمت البلاد في لحظة حاسمة وانقذها من حافة المجهول، مردفا: تحية لكل قيادات القوات المسلحة السابقين ممن لم يبخلوا بالجهد لتحقيق هذا الإنجاز الوطني.
وأكد الفريق أشرف سالم زاهر تجديد العهد بأن تظل القوات المسلحة حاملة للأمانة قائمة على العهد محافظة على القسم، أوفياء في مؤسسة وطنية أصيل
