واضاف فرحات، خلال رده على سؤال: إزاي الذكر عبادة ومش مرتبطة بمعاد محدد؟، ببرنامج اقرأ وربك الأكرم أن العبادات في الإسلام تنقسم من حيث ارتباطها بالزمان والمكان إلى عدة أنواع، فهناك عبادات مرتبطة بزمان ومكان معًا مثل الحج الذي يؤدي في أشهر محددة وفي مكان محدد وهو مكة المكرمة.
وأشار إلى أن هناك عبادات مرتبطة بالزمان فقط مثل الصيام في شهر رمضان، حيث يمكن أداؤه في أي مكان في العالم، بينما توجد عبادات مرتبطة بالمكان فقط مثل العمرة التي تؤدي في مكة المكرمة ويمكن أداؤها في أي وقت من العام.
وقال إن الذكر يختلف عن هذه العبادات، لأنه عبادة يمكن للمسلم القيام بها في كل الأوقات والأحوال، سواء كان واقفًا أو جالسًا أو قبل النوم أو بعد الاستيقاظ، وكذلك عند دخول المسجد أو الخروج منه، وفي الليل أو النهار.
